Maoists in India Briefly Seize Passenger Train

While a passenger train carried about 600 passengers, Maoists of about 300, hijack it. a spokesman for Indian railways said that they were protesting over some local issues and were demanding the presence of local administration. after four hours, the hijackers let the passengers go unharmed and the train was let free to go on its way. this was interesting because even 300 hijackers werent able to gain force in their government! THANK GOD. Who knows what they could have done.

Thats interesting that people would hijack a train for a short time and not do anything. Were the people caught or at least being tracked?

Why did they let them go 4 hours later?

That was weird 600 people are in a train against 300 and they lose, the hijackers were outnumbered. Did they have some kind of weapon? What did they want with the train?
