A Robot Priest?

There was a wedding in Tokyo, and guess who the priest was. ” I- Fairy”, this was the name of the robot who led this marriage! And above all, the robot could talk. It was like a human. This robot even waved its hands up in the air when th groom and bride kissed! Everyone was very amused by this highly- tallented.

People from Kenya lose their job due to Volcano

A volcano erupted  this weekend and caused many people there to lose their jobs. The volcano’s lava didn’t reach the town, thankfully, but the ashes made the air thick and hard to breath in. Now, some people like Daniel Oyier, only eat once a day because he lost his job. though this job pays $4 a day, it was enough to keep his family alive.

Fight Between Somalis and al-Qaida

There was a fight between some people in Somalia and some from al-Qaida on Monday. This killed dozens of people and injured around 20.  Women and children marched in Somalia’s capital. There were destruction of tombs of some Somali clerics.  People were swinging sledgehammers and pickaxes, and government troops fired shots in the air to try and scare them.

15 killed in Clan fight in Somalia

A clan elder said that there was a fight between two rival clans which killed 15 people. This fight was about ownership of land. This fight was in the Amara village on Saturday.  This was to the far north of the capital Mogadishu where the Islamic militants have been fighting constantly with the Somalian government. This affected me because now I know that not only in here, The United States, are people fighting for property.

Democracy in Niger!

In Niger a group called the Junta overthrew the president of Niger and wants to take over. The United States wants to put a stop to this and assume that this rule will be temporary. Niger’s neighbors and the US want to help the government in any way to stop the Junta and restore democracy in  Niger.

A Prime Minister in Guinea!!

One of the most fiercest critics became the prime minister, on Tuesday, of the west African country. Jean-Marie Dore, a veteran in his 70s, was beaten up by soldiers a few months back, but is now the prime minister. he was appointed this two months after Capt. Moussa Camara, who is the person to whom the soldiers were loyal to, was wounded after an assassination attempt. Jean-Marie said, “I am committed to leading Guinea toward free, credible and transparent elections.”

US Approach to China

people say that key relationships for any global recovery is between the U.S. and China. By the same token, any serious in becoming worse in character in their relationship would propel the world toward a second great depression which we pretty much are in already!  they are trying to keep good attitudes in this crisis that is going on. that is good that they are doing this because then, other people can start looking at the bright side and more and more people will do this and maybe, we could probably turn this crisis around! which hopefully will turn us away from the crisis. we need the crisis to get soon so much!

China 1/11

China’s economy is going down too, the government is getting extremely worried. The main cities that are getting attacked are Beijing and Shanghai! People that buy a second home have to make a down payment of at least 40%. Some chinese citizens think that high prices are going to become even more higher later.

CHINA: Google offers China free links to music downloads

Iran Responds Obliquely to Nuclear Plan

My article today was about, “ Iran responds obliquely to nuclear plan”. It was about Iran formally responding Friday to an international proposal of incentives aimed at resolving the impasse over the country’s nuclearprogram. ” The time for negotiating from the condescending position of inequality has come to an end,” the Iranian response said, according to the officials, who spoke onthe condition of anonymity under normal diplomatic rules.

this was interesting because i know what some  people are doing in other places.

this affected me because i get scared to know that people are planning things without people knowing so they might be planning something to do us.

Time Zones

Why is it important for you to know about time zones in America and all around the world?

i think it is important to know the time zones because then, when your traveling, you know what time your going to land and so relatives (if you have any in that place) know when they can pick you up. Another rason can be when your calling someone for something important, you wont wake them up if it is too early or to late.

iran says we’re too weak to attack

the Iran president says we’re too weak to attack Iran!

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad  said that the american government is too weak and not able to start another war for the next decades to come on September 25, 2008. but the meeting that they had was was different that what he was trying to say. Ahmadinejad said it in a friendly way that seemed to please the Iran leader. he said that the U.S. has saved so many countries but they are hated and dispised all over the world.

this article was interesting to me because I wanted to know what the president said about U.S.

i wanted to write about this because then, you would know what Ahmadinejad said and to encourage you to look at the article.

this article effected me because stuff like this can start wars.

Saudi CBank says Economy Faces No Liquidity Problems

What I chose for the article was Saudi CBank ( central bank) says Economy Faces No Liquidity Problems because it sounded interested and I wanted to read this article. ”The Saudi Arabia’s economy is facing no Liquidity problems, which means that nothing is happening with the oil, and stock market declines are unwarrented,” Muhammed al-Jasser, central bank vice governer, said. nothing bad is going too bad with that country with oil, stock market declines. which is half good, half bad. One half is that it’s good because then, Saudi Arabia isn’t going to suffer but the other bad part is that we might, due to the cause that Saaudi Arabia is one of the biggest oil transporter ever.

This affected me beacause Saudi Arabia is the biggest oil transporter and we might almost run out of it.

I got interested because its nice to know that some place, something isn’t going bad.

He should not say that!!

The article that i chose was The truth about what’s happening in Iraq. this article was just plain weird!! A guy said that America and Iraq are s,t,u,p,,,,,,,i,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,d!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He says that, “The war in Iraq isn’t being lost in Baghdad. It’s being lost in America. In Iraq, it’s going quite well. In America, we’re too s/t/u/p/i/d/ to realize that!” He even called the people on the news i/d/i/o/t/s!!!  “But in the chicken- c/r/a/p !!!,, terrorist world of shoot and run, the jihad boys are in their element!!!!!!” all of what he said!!!

THAT’S WHAT HE SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO KIDDING!!!!!!

I didn’t find this quite interesting but I wanted you to know what this, dont, know, what,he’s saying guy said,,, it’s just not right!!

This affected me because he can get in trouble for it, both with the police and the president!!

The Wait in Gaza to Rebuild Lingers

The article that i chose is “the wait in Gaza to rebuild lingers”. The cease-fire seems to be staying, nothing has happened so far. but there still is a problem, is to rebuild and repair buildings. aid agencies expect some hundred million dollars for food, medicine, and spare parts for electrical grids. While it’s still good that there are no more bombings or anything like that, there still are the damages from before.

this was interesting because though shootings stopped, there still is another problem.

this affected me because if i were in that condition, i would be suffering alot and even after wars, there still are big problems!!!

Iraq Inches Closer to Security Pact With U.S.

The article that i chose was Iraq Inches Closer to Security Pact With U.S.  It said that in 2011, American combat troops will moveout of Iraq’s cities and towns by the middle of next summer. Ali Al-Dabbagh, the spokesmans, said that there was an announcement that there is a new draft, while far from final, indicates that the Iraqis are inching closer to final approval. the draft included a timeline for the withdrawal of the troops that they previously discussed.

It was interesting for me because they were talking about American Troops withdrawing from the cities and towns of Iraq.

It affected me because this might mean that its the end of the war or in the bad side is that we’re losing the war.

Jihadi Leader Says Radicals Share Obama Victory

The leader of the Jihad group fought about the victory of Barack Obama becoming the U.S.A ‘s 44th president. After fighting against us in the Iraq war, Al Qaeda and Al Baghdadi are looking at this as a victory, now they want to know if Obama will bring back troops. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

This affected me because if Obama does bring back troops,,,,,, well, who knows what evil schemes Al Qaeda and Al Baghdadi are making!

AT first this scared me but then i realized that it was published on August 2, 2005 so i felt more calm but it still is bad because it might continue to be this much!

China Unveils Sweeping Plan for Economy

China announced  a plan for the economy. they said that this “move” could also help fight the effects of the global slowdown.  China said that said it would spend approximately 586 billion dollars over the next two years. THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY!!!! This affected me because knowing that they have a plan, I ask, why dont we have a plan!

Woman accused of illegal export to China

On Feb. 13, 2009, a Maryland woman was arrested on charges of sending miniature controls for small aircraft in China. they say that the controls are the worlds smallest and that they involve technology that can’t be shared with China because of national security concerns. the controls can be used to fly small military survey planes.

Actually, there might of been an accomplice or she might have been the accomplice so they should have checked instead of arresting just her.

Since the economic troubles that there are, around 26 million migrant workers have returned to the Chinese countryside after failing to find jobs in the cities. this came the day the government warned that 2009 would be “possibly the hardest year” for economic development. this was interesting because what is happening over there is happening today here!

The article that I read was about China and Brazil are mad at us because of their economic crisis. just because we had the economic crisis first, the Brazil people ask the President Lula about the economic crisis and he replies, ” Go ask U.S.A.’s president, it’s their crisis, not mine.” i can’t even believe they called us greedy!!

Cost of oil rises as demand in China increases

China, the worlds second most largest consumer, rises the price of oil. They put a little over $54 per gallon! But concerns over the state of the economic recovery and the spread of the swine flu continue to hold prices in check. In the summer of 2008, surging demand from countries like China and India affected almost everyone’s pocketbook, with average prices at the pump hitting $4. Now, a lot of people from India are criticising China on this. They are saying things like, ” that is bullish!”

This affects me because then I will know that if the United States gets oil from China, then, the oil prices are going to go up again like last year.

India’s Suspicion of Pakistan Clouds U.S. Strategy

The terrorist attacks in Mumbai occurred as India and Pakistan, two big, hostile and nuclear-armed nations, were delicately moving toward improved relations with the encouragement of the United States and in particular the incoming Obama administration. if India finds Pakistani fingerprints on the well-planned operation. India has raised suspicions. pakistan has denied being guilty.  this affects me because then, if India finds the fingerprints to be from one of the U.S.’s, we could get into serious trouble with them though I doubt that they would. but, it’s still scary!

India Presses Pakistan on Terrorism but Finds Its Own Options Limited

Even as Indian officials on Thursday attack Pakistan as the “epicenter” of terrorism and dismissed its crackdown on extremist groups as weak in the wake of last month’s attacks in Mumbai, they all but ruled out the prospect of a military confrontation. “We shall have to patiently confront it,” Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee said. “We have no intention to be provoked.”

Ambassador: Iraq elections won’t affect U.S. withdrawal

Behind the scenes in Obama’s war council debate

people have been saying that it is mysterious that obama has been having war meetings secretly and disscusing new strategies for Afganistan. they have this meeting in the really secure white house situation room. but a senior official is saying that they are asking the same question. the question that they are asking is that if General Stanley is really going to go along with the plan of sending 40,000 soldiers to iraq.

Iran is running out of oil

my article was about Iran might being completely out of oil by the year 2015. the oil income is shrinking ten to twelve percent every year. they are losing workers because of this but because they are losing workers they are also losing even more oil. it said that they in a petroleum crisis.

this article was interesting because its nice to know what is going on with one of our main oil providers.iran is also the third biggest oil state in the world.

this problem affects my community because we might not have oil in six to seven years and we use oil every day. we use oil for gas and many other uses.

iraq article for 9/21

Iraq was a peaceful and wealthy land and its history started in the ancient Mesapotamia that is in the middle of two rivers which is also known as the cradle of life which was in the center of Assyrian, Babylonian and Abbasid. But ever since the invasion in 2003 by the US (the iraq war) Iraq has been going through a lot and has occupied Iraq which lead to Civil violence.I think the US should’nt have invaded Iraq because what did they ever do to us and why did we put themunder so much trouble. This lead us to war and we are not only losing money but we are also losing many lives because of this.

china article for 11/23

China had recentley been arguing to U.S. after they read a report saying that people in China have been spying in U.S. That was full of prejuduce information. This could possibly damage the relationship between China and U.S. which President Obama has been trying to make. The report also includes that Beijing was building navy ships to help block out U.S. if fighting ever came to the Chinese and Taiwan people.
